Hey!
I DO Landscapes!
This is the very first landscape I have ever done. I used the rock elements in the commission work upcoming and just did it. I am really pleased that I now can say I do landscapes. No more monkey on my back I can't wait to do the bigger version on this, totally different of course because this is a practice work. But I am so proud of myself I could burst! Yippee for me. Let me know what you think. The pictures were hard to get, but the close up at the bottom is really right on with color and tone. It glows. Love it. So, I have a post for tomorrow that is all about some one new in our home, but I don't want to mix them so stay tuned! Off to do a dance of joy now... huzzah!
Here is the quote that inspired me to just do it:
***
Roads go ever ever on, Over rock and under tree, By caves where never sun has shone, By streams that never find the sea: Over snow by winter sown, And through the merry flowers of June, Over grass and over stone, And under mountains in the moon. Roads go ever ever on Under cloud and under star, Yet feet that wandering have gone Turn at last to home afar, Eyes that fire and sword have seen And horror in the halls of stone Look at last on meadows green And trees and hills they long have known.
J.R.R. Tolkien (1892 - 1973)
Here is the quote that was just for my inner self while working:
Most of us have two lives. The life we live, and the un-lived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance.
Steven Pressfield

Ooh, I love it!!!
Landscapes can be construed as cliche, but - WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW WOW!
This is stunning, and certainly not cliche. Is the heart intentional? I love that element!
Thanks Dana!
Jeepdog, I was so scared to even do a landscape because …welllll, the cliche thing. I am so pleased you like it! the heart turned up in the painting, I didn't see it till I was almost done and thought it perfect, so I left it. My heart/body/mind connection was telling the story not my head! That's my favorite part too. Thanks so much for commenting. Now I just hope the lovely person it's meant for is liking where I am going with the whole thing.
Love to you both!
Heather
HEATHER!!!! I knew it… I knew *knew* KNEW you would get it… and the heart…. perfect!!!
I am SO thrilled about the project and I truly trust you to be the hands that will produce the art that is energetically held in my heart…. thank you for opening up intuitively to what I was hoping to see… I absolutely love this piece!!! And I love you, again, for opening up a whole new level of healing and spiritual dynamics for me! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
the quote and the landscape contributes towards the mental calmness, some places are not easy to visit and this provide an oportunity for same. like to view more like this. hanks a lot.
MsC, thanks for your vote! Yipppeeee! I can now proceed with the big one…the heart was an accident, do you like it enough to include it or would you just like the next one (final) to be what ever it is? :) Tell me tell me!
Sanmugan: Thanks so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it.
awesome! the heart is cool…. but I am feeling more strongly to say “let it be what ever it is” on the final piece… very exciting!
Ye-Haw! That's what I was wanting…I am ready to let it roll out to be what it is going to be. This work in practice paintings alone has spawned 6 new works that I really am excited about. Abundance much? :) I will let you know when I have something to look at…this time it'll be just between us, sorry folks…but we will reveal the big fantastic work co created by MsC and yours truly. Someday…Yipppeeee! Off to sketch and think. Love it!
